|
Hymn: Sweeter as the years go by |
1.
Of Jesus' love that sought me, When I was lost in sin; Of wondrous grace that brought me. Back to His fold again; Of heights and depths of mercy, Far deeper than the sea, And higher than the heavens, My theme shall ever be. Sweeter as the years go by, Sweeter as the years go by; Richer, fuller, deeper, Jesus' love is sweeter, Sweeter as the years go by. 2. He trod in old Judea. Life's pathway long ago; The people thronged about Him, His saving grace to know. He healed the broken-hearted, And caused the blind to see; And still His great heart yearneth. In love for even me. 3. 'Twas wondrous love which led Him for us to suffer loss, To bear without a murmur the anguish of the cross; With saints redeemed in glory, let us our voices raise, Till Heav'n and earth re-echo with our Redeemer's praise. |

Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.
Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed

All my enemies whisper together against me; they imagine the worst for me, saying… Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
They swarmed around me like bees, but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them down… The Lord is my strength and my defense he has become my salvation.

about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself.
Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 感謝神!
But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
I am a foreigner to my own family, a stranger to my own mother's children; for zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.
I have not lost one of those you gave me.
Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?
