當日我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕在美索不達米亞，榮耀的神向他顯現，對他說：你要離開本地和親族，往我所要指示你的地方去。
The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia. The God of glory appeared to him and told him, Leave your country and your people, God said, and go to the land I will show you.（使徒行傳 Acts 7:2,3）

天起了涼風，耶和華神在園中行走，那人和他妻子聽見神的聲音，就藏在園裡的樹木中，躲避耶和華神的面。耶和華神呼喚那人，對他說：你在哪裡？ Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?"（創世記 Genesis 3:8）

一個人若有一百隻羊，一隻走迷了路，你們的意思如何？他豈不撇下這九十九隻，往山裡去找那隻迷路的羊嗎？若是找著了，我實在告訴你們：他為這一隻羊歡喜，比為那沒有迷路的九十九隻歡喜還大呢。
What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.（馬太福音 Matthew 18:12,13）

人子來，為要尋找，拯救失喪的人
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.（路加福音 Luke 19:10）

耶穌在加利利海邊行走，看見弟兄二人（彼得和安得烈），在海裡撒網，他們本是打魚的。耶穌對他們說：來跟從我，我要叫你們得人如得魚一樣。
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon and Andrew）. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people.（馬太福音 Matthew 4:18,19）

耶和華向亞伯蘭顯現，說：我要把這地賜給你的後裔。亞伯蘭就在那裡為向他顯現的耶和華築了一座壇。（創世記 Genesis 12:7）
The Lord appeared to Abram and said, "To your offspring I will give this land." So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
