我是你列祖的神，就是亞伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神。
I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.（使徒行傳 Acts 7:32）
亞伯拉罕所信的是那叫死人復活，使無變為有的神，他在主面前做我們世人的父，如經上所記：我已經立你做多國的父。
I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.（羅馬書 Romans 4:17）
當日我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕在美索不達米亞，還未住哈蘭的時候，榮耀的神向他顯現，對他說：你要離開本地和親族，往我所要指示你的地方去。
The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran. The Lord had said to Abram, Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you.（使徒行傳 Acts 7:2-3）

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.（希伯來書Hebrews 11:8-10）

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.（希伯來書 Hebrews 11:8-10）
