| Hymn: Take my life and let it be |
|
1.
Take my life, and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee; Take my moments and my days, Let them flow in ceaseless praise. (Chorus) For me, You were mocked and crucified; For me, willingly You bled and died. Lord, my life and love I willingly outpour And will serve You evermore. 2. Take my hands, and let them move At the impulse of Thy love; Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for Thee. 3. Take my voice, and let me sing Always, only, for my King; Take my lips, and let them be Filled with messages from Thee. 4. Take my silver and my gold; Not a mite would I withhold; Take my intellect, and use Every power as Thou shalt choose. 5. Take my will, and make it Thine; It shall be no longer mine. Take my heart; it is Thine own; It shall be Thy royal throne. 6. Take my love; my Lord, I pour At Thy feet its treasure-store. Take myself, and I will be Ever, only, all for Thee. |

The devotion in love and the deliberate deception |
The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade.
| a. The fullness of Satan and the evil thoughts in heart |
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.(Proverbs 4:23)
Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them…So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others.(Matthew 6:1-2)
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.(2 Corinthians 10:4,5)
| b. The temptation of the Lord and the hypocrisy in unity |
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.(Galatians 6:7)
But the Lord said to Samuel, The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)
| c. The fear of the Lord and the unity of the faithful |
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.(Malachi 3:10)
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.(Luke 16:9,10)
| 1 | Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. |
| 2 | With his wife's full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles' feet. |
| 3 | Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? |
| 4 | Didn't it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God." |
| 5 | When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. |
| 6 | Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him. |
| 7 | About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. |
| 8 | Peter asked her, "Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?" "Yes," she said, "that is the price." |
| 9 | Peter said to her, "How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also." |
| 10 | At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. |
| 11 | Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events. |
| 12 | The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade. |
