Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
| a. | 腐敗的脫離與新生的起始 The detachment of the corruption and the beginning of a new life |
| 40 | 彼得還用許多話作見證，勸勉他們說：你們當救自己脫離這彎曲的世代。 |
| 41 | 於是領受他話的人就受了浸。那一天，門徒約添了三千人。 |
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth 使你們無可指摘，誠實無偽，在這彎曲悖謬的世代做神無瑕疵的兒女。你們顯在這世代中，好像明光照耀。（腓立比書 Philippians 2:15）
so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 若有人在基督裡，他就是新造的人，舊事已過，都變成新的了。（哥林多後書 2 Corinthians 5:17）
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus. I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ. 我們既有這等應許，就當潔淨自己，除去身體、靈魂一切的污穢，敬畏神，得以成聖。（哥林多後書 2 Corinthians 7:1）
Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the Lord."… Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels." For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, "Peace be within you." 因為我餓了，你們給我吃；渴了，你們給我喝；我做客旅，你們留我住…我實在告訴你們：這些事你們既做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。（馬太福音 Matthew 25:35,40）
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in…Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. 看哪，弟兄和睦同居，是何等的善，何等的美！這好比那貴重的油，澆在亞倫的頭上，流到鬍鬚，又流到他的衣襟。又好比黑門的甘露，降在錫安山，因為在那裏有耶和華所命定的福，就是永遠的生命。（詩篇 Psalm 133:1-3）
How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.

| 41 | Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. |
| 42 | They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. |
